Kids' Spooky Art Contest
Get creative and show off your Halloween spirit with The Haunted Oaks and The Burrow in Oakdale. Grab your favorite art supplies and make an original Halloween masterpiece inspired by the magic, mystery, and fun of the spooky season. Every kid who enters gets a prize just for entering.
Deadline
Drop off your artwork by the end of the day on Friday, October 30.
Every kid wins
Every kid who drops off an eligible entry gets a Burrow arcade gift card, good for one hour of free play. It covers the arcade games only, not prizes or tickets. One per participant.
The prize drawing
Every eligible entry also goes into a random drawing for Burrow gift cards, $500 in total, shared among several winners. The Burrow holds the drawing after entries close and contacts the winners directly.
Every entry goes up on display at The Burrow through the Halloween season, so come see your art on the wall.
How to enter
Three steps, one masterpiece

Create your artwork
On a sheet of paper (8.5 by 11 inches works best), draw and color an original Halloween picture inspired by The Haunted Oaks. Spooky oak trees, glowing jack-o'-lanterns, haunted houses, friendly ghosts, creepy creatures, witches, monsters. Let your imagination run wild.

Write your info on the back
The artist's name, their age, and a parent or guardian's contact information. That is how The Burrow reaches the winners.

Drop it off at The Burrow
Bring the finished artwork to The Burrow in Oakdale during business hours, before the deadline. Your prize is handed over right there.
The rules
Keep it original
- Open to kids and teens under 18
- Artwork must be original, hand drawn, and hand colored
- Crayons, markers, colored pencils, and paint are all welcome
- No pre-printed coloring sheets, digital art, printed designs, or AI-generated images
- Entries must be hand delivered to The Burrow
- One entry per artist
